Cleary recommends measuring your child's inseam and referencing their size chart to ensure the best fit.  Before your child can read, they can rip. Fit Hedgehog is best fit for riders with an inseam of 17" to 21". First time riders feel safest with their bottom on the saddle and their feet flat on the ground. That's how a child with an 18" inseam will fit the Hedgehog with the seat post dropped as low as possible. Once kids get more comfortable on two wheels, they'll want to sit on the saddle with the balls of their feet on the ground. Thus, a confident rider with a 17" inseam and a first-time rider with a 19" inseam will each ride with about the same seat height.

The ride to elementary school just got real! The Cleary Owl is a tough-as-nails freedom machine. The Owl comes with 20-inch wheels, this means it rolls fast over small obstacles and bigger jumps. Weighing in at just 19 pounds, the Owl has a freewheel and a rigid front fork paired with 20" all-terrain tires to give this little rig plenty of clearance. Bigger stair drops, wider jumps, and longer adventures. To determine the best fit, Cleary suggests measuring your child's inseam and referencing their size chart. The Owl is best fit for riders with an inseam measurement of 19-23". A rider with a 21" inseam will sit on the Owl with their bottom on the saddle, flat-footed on the ground with the seat at its lowest position. At that same saddle height, riders with a 19" inseam will happily sit with only the balls of their feet on the ground. As long as a child has an inseam of 19", their arms and torso are long enough so they can reach the handlebars comfortably.
